Description

A contractor is being selected for the major repair of an 18.4 km section of the local Denau — Sariosiyo road.

Scope of work:

milling of 128,000 m² of worn surfacing;
laying a 20 cm crushed-stone base course;
two asphalt concrete layers totalling 12 cm;
repair of 14 culverts and construction of roadside ditches;
installation of safety barriers and road signs, plus line marking.

Work proceeds without fully closing the road, using reversible traffic sections. An own asphalt plant within 60 km of the site, a road construction licence and at least three comparable contracts are required. The surfacing carries a four-year warranty.
